Outdoor: There are many public outdoor tennis courts throughout the city, but these city-owned courts require a $5 permit. Simply call 212-360-8133 to find out how to get your hands on a permit, and then get ready to serve and set all day long and well into the evenings. Open daily, typically from 7am to 7pm, these outdoor city courts are great for spending time in the sun enjoying an active, and physically challenging game of tennis. With seasonal tournaments taking place, there’s also the option to compete or

simply sit back and watch the pros at work. Indoor: These tennis courts, many of which are all-weather, open year round and cannot be ignored by the tennis buff. Rain or shine, enjoy the splendid views and long hours available at these great Manhattan courts. Court fees may start at $30 per hour, so be sure to call ahead for details!
